Based in Carmel, Indiana, I earned my undergraduate degree in Journalism with an additional focus on Video Production at DePaul University. From there, I went on to acquire an M.A. in Media and Communication Studies at Florida State University, where I also received a certificate in Digital Video Production and a cognate in Project Management.
My professional career started in 2013 at ABC27 in Tallahassee, FL as a news producer, a role that quickly expanded to reporting and anchoring as well. I filmed, wrote and edited my own stories for live newscasts and for the station website. I also trained new reporters and producers. In 2014, I became a producer at FOX59/CBS4 in Indianapolis, where I built, organized and wrote daily newscasts.
Since leaving the TV news world in 2018, I have led public relations and communications content and strategy for the country's largest medical school and B2C corporate environments. Outside of work, you'll find me playing and cuddling with my energetic black labrador dog, exploring new parks and playgrounds with my two kids and husband, or painting/repainting used furniture and every surface possible in my home.
